Do you wish you knew more about your toothbrush? If so, you have come to the right blog. There are many interesting facts that you didn’t know about your oral hygiene tool, and our dentist, Dr. Gilbert Omido, is more than happy to tell you all about them. The more you know, the better! Those interesting facts are:
-It’s recommended to use a toothbrush that has the American Dental Association stamp of approval.
-It’s best to use a soft-bristled toothbrush.
-The toothbrush is 5,000 years old and it started as a stick with a frayed end. The modern-day toothbrush we use now was invented in 1938.
-It doesn’t matter if you clean your smile with an electric or manual toothbrush. Your teeth don’t care!
-It doesn’t matter the order in which you brush and floss. As long as you do both, you’re on the right track.
-After you brush, it’s best to leave your toothbrush out in the open to air dry. This reduces the number of bacteria that gather on the bristles.
-Toothbrushes only have a lifespan of 3-4 months.
-It’s important to brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes each time.
-Although sharing is caring, it’s best not to share your toothbrush.
